[gpfsug-discuss] Cloning across fileset boundaries

Hi All,

When I use "mmclone copy" to try and create a clone and the destination is inside a fileset (dependent or independent), I get this:

mmclone: Invalid cross-device link

I can find no information in any manuals as to why this doesn't work (though I can imagine what the reasons might be). Could somebody explain whether this could be permitted in the future, or if it's technically impossible?
