[Apologies]  It has been pointed out to me that anyone seriously 
interested in clusters split over multiple sites
should ReadTheFineManuals and in particular chapter 6 of the GPFS or 
Spectrum Scale Advanced Admin Guide.

I apologize for anything I said that may have contradicted TFMs.  Still it 
seems any which way you look at it - State of the art, today, 
this is not an easy plug and play, tab A into slot A, tab B into slot B 
and we're done - kinda-thing.
