Hi Daniel

I've done a fair amount of work with GPFS "File Heat" and policy migration here at Nuance. Let me know if you want to discuss it a bit more.

Does anyone in the field have much experience with using file heat for migration, whether for object or more generically? In particular using policies to move files both ways dependant on recent usage patterns.

And also if you ever move files to colder storage without necessarily waiting until the files are say over 7 days old, since you know they are not going to be used for a while.

Gaurang,
Nice blog .. I must try and find some time to set a system up and try it for myself when I am not travelling ( which seems to be all the time at the moment).
