Pick your poison!

We and many others have worked through this issue and provided solutions 
in products apart from TSM.
In Spectrum Scale Filesystem, we code filelists with escapes \n and \\. Or 
if you prefer, use the ESCAPE option.  See the Advanced Admin Guide, on or 
near page 24 in the ILM chapter 2.

IBM is a very large organization and sometimes, for some issues, customers 
have the best, most effective means of communicating requirements to 
particular product groups within IBM.
